Since the time I was a young child I’ve been a dreamer. Like most dreamers I’ve had my share of disappointments as well as accomplishments. One of my biggest accomplishments came in the spring of 1999 in the form of a letter. Almost a year prior to this I had submitted a pen and ink drawing I drew to The Butler Institute of American Art. The letter was from Robert Kurtz, the curator of the museum stating that after careful review from the board, my drawing was going to be inducted into the permanent collection at The Butler Institute. At 23 years old, one of my drawings was going to be added to the same collection that housed the works of Da Vinci, Picasso, and Van Gogh.

Three years later I traded my pen for a camera. I read every book and studied every tutorial I could. In 2004 after apprenticing with a few local photographers and at the age of 28 years old I decided to open my own studio.  Four years later I was contacted by Dr. Henry Oles, founder of Virtual Backgrounds and editor of The Backgrounder. He asked if I was interested in being the Featured Photographer in the January Edition of The Backgrounder. The Backgrounder is an online magazine with readers worldwide. Without hesitation I agreed. I began receiving emails from photographers all over the world asking for suggestions and technical advice. In 2010 I appeared in The Backgrounder again for my rendition of White on White photo sessions.
